The Australian Government appointed The Hon Steve Bracks AC as one of two Automotive Envoys, promoting our three automotive companies: Ford Motor Company Australia; Toyota Motor Company Australia; and, General Motors Holden, and the 200 Australian automotive supply base.
Mr Bracks has responsibility for North America and Europe and leads delegations of Australian companies to support their efforts for export volume, and therefore their long-term sustainability.
The Australian Automotive Industry is Australia’s largest manufacturing exporter. It employs 59,000 Australians and accounts for a large part of our private sector, research, development, design and engineering capacity.
